It started here.
In a tiny house!
I am Sarah, French and Ghanaian, and I have been living in Australia for 11 years, the last two in Tasmania. My curiosity for taking things apart began in early childhood, but it came fully back to life in 2020 when I decided to build a tiny house and learn carpentry.
Since then, I have worked across different materials and processes, but my attention always returns to timber, fabric, and more recently ceramic.
I thought I would become an interior designer. The studies are enriching, but they clarified something : my real fascination is lighting.
What draws me to light is the desire to understand and echo the beauty of natural daylight. There is nothing like the sun. There will never be anything like it. Everything else is about atmosphere.
Artificial light will never be the sun and it should not try to be. Its role is different. It is not to replace daylight, but to extend it, to shape atmosphere, and to support the transition into night with poetry and beauty so we can day dream, travel and be in awe.
Studio Boah is my way of exploring this through handmade objects that respond to light, material, and feeling.
My first collection is coming in 2026.
Leave your email and I will keep you updated as it takes shape.
What Guides the Design Process
Studio Boah is guided by five values that shape how we work, what we create, and the kind of world we want to help build.
Sincerity
We create with honesty and depth—prioritising meaning over trend, and people over performance.

Sustainability
Curiosity
Well - Being
Craftmanship
We believe in quiet sustainability—design that lasts, materials that respect their origins, and choices made with care.
We stay open. To people, to process, to unexpected insight. That’s where better ideas live.
Spaces should support your rhythm, offering support, calm, and emotional ease.
We care deeply about how things are made. From process to material, quality matters.

I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live and work, the Palawa people of Lutruwita (Tasmania). I pay my respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging, and recognize their ongoing connection to this land,
its waters, and skies. Their deep knowledge, culture, and care for Country continue to inspire and guide us.
Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
